The Lost Souls of George Square is a fun and light hearted mobile game based around the real world location of George Square in Edinburgh. The objective of the game is to navigate towards the mapped locations in the square through the binaural sonic cues. The game uses binaural audio to provide the user with sonic directional cues. GPS sensors, magnetometer, and accelerometer data are used to track the player's location and direct them towards fixed locations in physical space.
This project was carried out along with Adam Campbell
and Warner Harris as part of the Digital Media Studio
Project Programme in the University of Edinburgh. The
